MakeItFun — Privacy Policy & Account Deletion

MakeItFun ("we", "us", "the app") is a mobile application developed by Okidooki AG. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

Data Encryption

All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS. Firebase, Stripe, and all third-party services we use enforce encrypted connections. No user data is transmitted over unencrypted channels.

Data Retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active.
Order history is retained for legal and accounting purposes (up to 10 years as required by Swiss law).
AI-generated images and uploaded files are deleted when you delete your account.
Stripe payment records are retained by Stripe according to their data retention policy.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data (visible in your Profile)
Correct your data (edit shipping details in Profile at any time)
Delete your account and associated data (see below)
Request a copy of your data by contacting us

Children's Privacy

MakeItFun is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Account & Data Deletion

MakeItFun allows you to permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from within the app. No email or support ticket is required.

How to Delete Your Account

Open the MakeItFun app and log in to your account.

Go to your Profile tab (person icon in the bottom menu).

Scroll to the bottom of the Profile screen.

Tap the "Delete account" button.

Confirm the deletion in the dialog. Your account will be permanently removed.

        Note: Firebase may require a recent login for security purposes.
        If you see a "requires-recent-login" error, please log out, log back in, and try again.
      

What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

Your Firebase Authentication account (email, credentials)
Your profile and shipping details
Your cart and saved designs
Your uploaded images and AI-generated artwork in Cloud Storage

What Data May Be Retained

Some data may be retained after account deletion for legal or operational reasons:

Completed order records — retained for up to 10 years for accounting and legal compliance (Swiss law).
Stripe payment records — managed by Stripe under their retention policy.
Printful fulfillment records — order and shipping data shared with Printful is subject to their data retention policy.

Delete Data Without Deleting Your Account

If you want to remove specific data without deleting your entire account:

Clear your shipping details by removing all fields in Profile > Shipping details and saving.
Remove items from your cart.
Contact us at support@makeitfun.app to request deletion of specific data.
